In a fitting homage to the seven-time Formula 1 World Champion, Sir Lewis Hamilton, German tuning house HOF has unveiled the HOF Sir Class SUV. This extraordinary creation, based on the Mercedes-AMG G63, is a 1,063-horsepower behemoth that pushes the boundaries of performance and luxury.
In its normal configuration, the AMG G63 is among the best luxury performance SUVs money can buy. Fortunately, it’s a great base for tuners and designers alike to go berserk and produce unique iterations. The HOF Sir Class is the latest on that list, boasting not only the highest horsepower output but also the fastest time.
The Powerhouse Under the Hood
The heart of the HOF Sir Class is a heavily modified 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine. While the normal AMG G63 produces 577 hp and 850 Nm of torque, this powerhouse unit now delivers a staggering 1,063 horsepower and 1,300 Nm of torque, catapulting the G-Wagon into supercar territory.
The result is a 0-100 kph time of just 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 300 kph. Among the changes made to the engine include better turbos, stronger connecting rods, forged aluminum pistons, a performance fuel pump, an aluminum airbox, and a software update.
Design Fit for a Champion
The exterior of the HOF Sir Class is as striking as its performance. The bold design echoes the unique Mercedes-AMG Petronas design, featuring a carbon fibre body kit, custom wheels, and a unique livery inspired by Hamilton’s iconic racing helmets.
HOF also takes inspiration from the Project One hypercar, equipping the Sir Class with an aerodynamic body kit. This results in a 30 mm lower chassis, helping improve the Sir Class’ aero profile and handling. The Sir Class also gets a carbon ceramic brake kit, offering unparalleled stopping power.
Covering all four corners of the Sir Class are bespoke 23-inch forged wheels with carbon covers. Not only are they stylish, but they also embody HOF’s unwavering commitment to innovation. The exterior gets a host of additional touches like tailpipes with ceramic design and multiple 1063 logos
The Sanctuary of Opulence
The interior is equally impressive, with luxurious materials, custom upholstery, and a host of advanced features. At the forefront of the unique design is the Formula-1-inspired steering wheel. Just like the AMG Project One, this steering wheel gets integrated controls, putting performance in the driver’s hands.
The high performance sport seats provide driving confidence, thanks to their pronounced sides and deep contours. They promise a snug fit, offering stability, reducing fatigue during high speed maneuvers, and enabling precide inputs.
Just like the exterior, the interior gets a sprinkle of 1063 logos. To elevate the feel and celebrate Sir Lewis Hamilton’s final race, HOF adorns the headliner with a handstitched Yas Marina Circuit graphic.
